Tuesday saw Leeds choose Daniel Farke as their new manager as the demoted Premier League team seeks a quick return to the top division. After leading Norwich to the Championship of the second division, Farke is fully aware of what it takes to succeed in the Championship.

The 46-year-old German, who has a four-year deal with Leeds, succeeds Sam Allardyce, who departed the club after a brief stay at Elland Road last season.

Farke stated, "I feel humble right now; I know I have to live up to all the expectations, and I want to repay the faith offered.

"The essential thing is to reestablish a sense of cohesion and unity among this club, and I will begin working on that with my staff and players today. "I believe our backers will show up when we need them. I'm eagerly anticipating the opening contest of the year.

On August 6, Leeds will play its first game in the Championship since 2020 against Cardiff. After four years with the Canaries—who were having trouble in the Premier League—Farke was fired by Norwich in 2021.

He also served as manager at FC Krasnodar before quitting owing to Russia's invasion of Ukraine without managing a single game. After they placed 10th in the previous season, Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga fired him.
