As the first user to amass 1 million followers on Threads, MrBeast has created history. On July 5, a brand-new social media app that competes with Twitter and is a text-based chat tool became live.
The YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, gathered a substantial following in a couple of hours. On July 6, at 9:42 a.m. (EST)/2:42 p.m. (BST), he attained the milestone.
And MrBeast tweeted us to say: "Shhhhh, don't let the twitter police know I'm cheating on them" after learning of his record-breaking accomplishment.
Although technically not the first account to do so, the others belonged to businesses like National Geographic and Instagram.

According to MrBeast's Threads profile, he will be the "Future Threads CEO", and after just three posts, he already has a million followers.
Soon after the app became life, his first post asked: "Sooooo, when will we too become addicted to this app? Lol”. Additionally, he asked his followers to "like" a post if they agreed that Meta's Mark Zuckerberg needed to be the app's CEO.
In another cheeky remark, Mr Beast said, "I feel like I'm cheating on Twitter by using this app." The meta-app Threads was marketed as a "friendly" substitute for Twitter, which has experienced some setbacks ever since SpaceX entrepreneur Elon Musk took control of it.
Users can submit links, photographs, and videos, just as on Twitter, and others can like, comment, and share them with their followers.
The length of posts is capped at 500 characters. People can sign in through Instagram, import their profile images and bios from the photo-sharing app, and even follow everyone they already follow on Instagram with a single click to simplify things for new users.
According to reports, Threads immediately drew over 10 million users from its 2 billion active Instagram accounts database. Mark Zuckerberg, the second person to reach 1 million followers on Threads, stated in a post: "The idea is to keep it nice as it expands. It is feasible and ultimately essential to the project's success.
