Khaligraph Jones, a rapper, and Nikita Kering, a singer, will represent Kenya in Coke Studio season 2.

To turn their hottest hits into new and original musical experiences, the two exceptional performers will team up with some of Africa's best musicians.

The well-known Mazishi hitmaker highlighted his enthusiasm about working with Nikita during the Thursday, July 6 launch event, highlighting the incredible mix they bring.

"I want to thank Coke Studio for allowing me to work with Nikita on this song. I've always enjoyed her songs. It's an exciting combination because I'm from Kayole, and she's from Karen, and I can't wait for people to see what we've accomplished together, Khaligraph Jones said.

Nikita also praised her interactions with Khaligraph Jones.

She expressed how, having grown up watching the show, becoming a part of Coke Studio was a dream come true. She had high hopes for her first cooperation but was pleasantly surprised.

"Working with Khaligraph has been great, although I wasn't sure how our styles would mesh. Along with being highly talented, he is also a dream to work with. Nikita exclaimed, "I couldn't have asked for a better individual to work with on my first project of this nature.

Coke Studio 2023 was introduced at the event, and Isabelle Kariuki-Rostom, marketing director for East and Central Africa at Coca-Cola, expressed her excitement about it.

She emphasized the season's unique chance to interact with a new customer generation, particularly Gen Zs.

"We are eager to engage with Gen Z music lovers throughout the world with the help of this season. We are happy to bring the experience of cross-cultural fusion closer to home at a time when the entire universe is only a touch away.

"Through local and international collaborations, we aim to create music that unlocks uplifting experiences by showcasing the true magic that resides in unexpected connections and transcending borders," stated Ms Kariuki-Rostom.

Coke Studio appeals to Gen Z music fans worldwide. It spreads the message of accepting one's true self by collaborating with up-and-coming musicians who strongly reflect their identities.
