Mannerson Oduor Ochieng alias Akuku Danger, a Kenyan comedian, is mourning the death of his younger sister.

The comedian revealed on social media that his sister was born with sickle cell anaemia and died due to it.

"Woke up to the saddest News😭😭 My small siz Went To Be With The Lord Last Night. Like Me, she was born with sickle cell Disease, and she succumbed to it. Rest Well Warrior, Nind gi kwe Merwa🕊️😭."

Sickle cell anaemia is an incurable illness in which red blood cells lose their form and break down.

Akuku Danger revealed his battle with sickle cell disease last year. He admitted that he had been in and out of hospitals since he was a child, with doctors expecting his lifespan to be 15 years, claiming that patients do not live past 18.

He thanked God that he is over 30 years old and requested increased awareness about sickle cell anaemia, claiming that many doctors still don't know how to treat the ailment.

Please accept our condolences to Akuku Danger and his family, and may she rest in peace.
