Comedian turn activist Eric Omondi has announced the sudden death of baby Pyden, who was in the hospital fighting a cancerous growth in the mouth.

Eric Omondi had been fundraising for the boy's treatment and raised over ksh $ 1.5 million.Baby Pyden was transferred from Kenyatta National Hospital to an advanced facility hoping to improve his condition.


"We have lost baby Pyden. Pyden was a very Strong Baby...He fought a good fight. He ran his race. In the short time that he lived, he taught me great lessons. He taught Resilience. He has rested. We will remember him as a Legend. We will Celebrate his life. We will send him off as a PRINCE. May God give him rest. We will not lose hope. We will bury him as a soldier with our heads high. Once again, Thank you to ALL who Contributed. We shall Continue."

Last month, Eric managed to raise over ksh 700000 for a boy who was shot over five times by police during a protest match organized by the opposition.

" I saw and spoke to 18 Victims who were shot last week but one young Man Stood out. His name is Fidel Castro, he is a 17 year Old Form 4 Student from Bishop Abiero Secondary School. He was shot 8 times and Survived. He almost died, but God gave him another chance. We are going to Rally together and Raise Money for him and Change HIS LIFE COMPLETELY."
