Comedian Butita is giving kenyans hope after getting admitted to USIU to pursue his bachelor's degree 12 years after completing high school.

The comedian took to his Instagram page to announce the news to his followers. He said he comes from a very poor background, so his parents could not afford to take him to university.

"Back to School, It has taken me 12 years to get to University Wueeh poverty is a bad thing, you know what ?I'm happy and my family is happy, after highschool My Dad said this to me "ata wewe unaona mambo ni magumu, jaribu jaribu tu, mambo inaweza kuwa sawa Mungu afungue njia, na ikiwa sawa ata hiyo university utajipeleka siku moja, mimi nimekufikisha mahali naweza" kumbe siku moja ilikua ni leo, it is never too late!!! You can do it. We are here to lay the Last nail on poverty even if they ask for papers we shall provide 😂😂😂😂 N/B Zoea waziri wako mapema" he captioned

some of his fans shared the same sentiments, saying they came from poor backgrounds and can understand the situation.

"Same same words dad spoke to me back in 2018 😢😢but you know what I educated myself and graduated last year December with a DIPLOMA..now taking my Degree... keep up Eddie Butita" one fan encouraged him

His comedian friends made light of the situation, telling him that he was not going to school but was rather renting out a hall for a performance.
