On September 24, in a video posted by Wasafi Media, Diamond Platnumz took a moment during a recent stage performance to dedicate one of his songs to people's ex-girlfriends.

Before the music started, he made it clear that he wanted the song to strike a chord with all the women who had turned down men and those who had chosen to part ways with their partners.

Shortly afterward, the familiar tunes of his song 'Waache Waone' featuring Chege filled the air, eliciting cheers from the audience.

To the audience's surprise, Chege made an impromptu appearance on stage, and the two artists delivered an energetic performance of their seven-year-old hit.

Towards the end of their performance, Diamond made a request to Chege, asking him to collaborate on a song together before the upcoming weekend, which falls on September 30.

"Niskilize basi, brother Chege na kundi nzima la TNC (Temba Nature and Chege), wana mashini nyingi ziko ndani. Mimi nataka nimwombe brother Chege, wiki hii tunayoienda, tusiende bila kuwachia ngoma mpya.

"[Listen to me, Chege and his TNC group have songs and I want to urge him we release some of the songs before next week]," Diamond said.

Diamond stood firm in his stance, emphasizing the pressing need to release the hit songs. Chege promptly agreed.

Chege, a notable Tanzanian music artist, rose to prominence with his chart-topping track "Waache Waone," featuring Diamond. This song was introduced on August 4, 2016, and has since garnered an impressive 24 million views on YouTube.

Following this successful collaboration, Chege has launched a series of tracks. However, they haven't quite attained the same heights of popularity as his joint effort with Diamond.

A brief glance at Chege's YouTube channel indicates that the majority of his songs have garnered fewer than 100K views, despite their promise.

Taking the stage alongside Diamond in a recent concert marks a significant accomplishment for him, particularly in light of the rise of emerging Bongo Flava artists who have garnered greater recognition in the industry.
