Zuchu was abruptly taken off the stage after an object struck her face during her performance. The Tanzanian superstar, also known as Zuhura Othman had to stop her performance due to the incident.

Zuchu was electrifying the audience at the Wasafi festival VIP pre-party in Mbeya, delivering a stellar performance of her hit song 'Kwikwi,' when an individual from the crowd hurled an object at her.

The object struck her squarely on the face, prompting an immediate halt to the performance. Bouncers swiftly intervened, swiftly escorting her to safety.

In a video witnessed by this writer, the security personnel, attired in black, promptly assisted the singer in leaving the stage shortly after what appears to be a stone was thrown in her direction.

This incident occurred while Zuchu, one of the most highly sought-after female musicians in East Africa, was giving a performance at the Wasafi Festival pre-party on Friday, in anticipation of the main concert scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2023.

The singer, under Diamond Platnumz's WCB record label, has been embarking on a tour of various towns alongside fellow Wasafi signees. Together, they have been bringing entertainment directly to their fans through a series of events under the Wasafi Festival banner.

Notably, she is the sole female artist chosen to participate in the Wasafi Festival 2023 Edition.

The individual responsible for throwing the object and the motive behind the attack remain unknown. The Wasafi festival has been a mix of excitement and challenges for Zuchu, as the singer also shared some personal insights.

While with Diamond, they were approached by a Wasafi presenter at their hotel who posed tough questions for them to answer.

When asked about her romantic history, in the presence of the WCB boss, Zuchu playfully responded by planting a kiss on Diamond and affirming that he is the only one.

"Mpaka sasa ni wanawake/wanaume wangapi umeshawai kulala nao kimapenzi” read the question which loosely translates to How many men/women have you been involved with romantically to date?

"Mmoja tu (only one)," Zuchu responded before hugging Diamond and planting several kisses on his face and lips.

"Pekeake, pekeake (only one)," Zuchu insisted.

Earlier this week, the singer clarified her relationship status, affirming that she is currently single. This response came when a fan inquired about her thoughts after Tanasha Donna presented a gift to Diamond's mother, Mama Dangote.

"Sio bwana yangu mpenzi (he is not my husband, darling” and added:

"Been single for some time now. So he is free to do whatever he wishes to do."

She didn't specify whether she is currently open to entering a new relationship.
