A police officer assigned to provide security during the ongoing KCPE and KPSEA exams at Kapsinendet Primary School in Narok's Transmara East Sub County was arrested after arriving at the school while drunk and carrying a liquor bottle.
According to Transmara East Sub-county Deputy County Commissioner Solomon Mpamale, a worried teacher at the school informed the education office, after which a team of security officers led by the area OCPD rushed to the school and discovered the officer in a precarious situation.
Mpampale stated that the officer was quickly apprehended and disarmed after consulting with his security team before being held up at Emurua Dikirr police station.
Following his incarceration, another officer was assigned to conduct the same duties, and normalcy was restored with no exam disruptions.
