Police officers have launched an investigation after the body of a 25-year-old woman was discovered inside a sack in Embakasi.
Officers from the Kware police station made the find after people alerted them to the suspicious-looking sack.
"It was reported by 2 National Police Service (NPS) officers who were on day patrol duties within the areas of Stage Mpya within Kware that they were informed by members of public that there was a sack dumped along the makeshift structures suspected to be having a human body," according to a portion of the police report about the incident.

"Police visited the scene and found the naked body of unknown female adult aged approximately 25 years."
According to investigators, the victim looked to have been strangled to death while her lips, eyes, and limbs were tied by clothing.
"The body had strangulation marks on the neck and blood stains on the nose and ears and also signs of incontinence were noted," according to the police report.
The woman's body has since been sent to City Mortuary for identification and a post-mortem examination.
