Police have initiated an investigation into the murder of a security guard who was discovered dead at his office on Monday morning.
Upper Marindi assistant chief Justus Ochieng stated that 59-year-old James Gichuru was discovered lying outside the premises he manages.
According to Ochieng, the deceased had some burn injuries, and early investigations revealed that he had an epileptic attack while at work on Sunday night.

The assistant chief, on the other hand, stated that they are awaiting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The deceased's body is being held at Migori Level Four Hospital for a police investigation.
In other news, Police officers shot and killed two bandits as they attempted to raid Kapturo hamlet in Bartabwa ward, Baringo County.
According to Baringo County Police Commander Julius Kiragu, the assailants were eliminated after a well-executed ambush by the security team on patrol on Sunday.
The officers recovered two AK-47 weapons and 21 rounds of ammo. This follows another banditry attack in the Ngaratuko area of the Saimo Soi ward, in which a 19-year-old herder was shot and injured by bandits who fled with an indeterminate number of sheep.
Concerned about the event, Baringo North MP Joseph Makilap demanded that security authorities act quickly.
Concerned about the increased number of banditry incidents, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki called a strategy and operational review conference with operation commanders and chiefs of other security agencies.
Kindiki acknowledged the success made in preventing bandit assaults but emphasized the necessity for additional measures to eliminate the continuing risks in the Northern Rift Valley.
