In a startling incident, two cousins, Brian Mwangi and Julius Mwangi alongside other two men met a tragic end as they were shot dead inside a car in Buruburu. Brian Mwangi, a father of one and a secondhand clothing (mitumba) seller, hailed from the Gitaru area. He had brought his wife and one-year-old daughter to spend the festive season with his parents, intending to celebrate his daughter's birthday on the 25th of December. The untimely demise of these individuals has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving family and friends grappling with the sudden and distressing loss. The authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

Brian Mwangi spent the ill-fated Friday with his family, even preparing a meal for them before departing in the evening. Around 8 PM, his wife received a call from his friends inquiring about his whereabouts. The shock rippled through his family when they later watched the news reporting the discovery of his ID inside the car.

Julius Mwangi, the other victim, was a diligent young man engaged in the trade of scrap metal. His family mourns him as a hardworking individual. On the tragic Friday, he spent the day with his mother, who later in the evening provided him with extra funds for his journey upcountry.

As investigations continue, the identities of the remaining two men are still unknown. An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow at Nairobi City Mortuary to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this distressing incident.
