Residents of Mukuyu village, Kiharu Sub County, Murang'a County, were shocked after a woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death in a suspected love triangle.

The woman was left home with her daughter while the victim went shopping.

A woman is said to have gone to their house while the husband was away, inquiring about the man's whereabouts.

The woman identified herself as the man's girlfriend, infuriating the suspect to the point of fleeing for her life.

According to reports, when he returned, the woman confronted her husband about the other woman who had visited their home, but he denied knowing her.


The wife is said to have stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife in the heat of the moment.

Screams could be heard from the neighbors as the couple's six-year-old daughter discovered her father in a pool of blood.

When the neighbors arrived, they discovered the man dead, and the woman locked herself in the bedroom.

The villagers reported the incident to Murang'a Police Station, and the deceased's body was taken to Murang'a Level 5 Hospital for a postmortem.

The widow has been detained pending further investigation.
