A 72-year-old father is being held by police in Chepalungu, Bomet County, for fatally wounding his 23-year-old grandson with an arrow.
The incident occurred after the deceased, Ezra Chepkwony, visited his grandfather, Francis Bor's, home after consuming alcohol.
When they interacted, the inebriated Chepkwony allegedly insulted and provoked Bor, forcing the elderly man to reach for his bow and arrow to shoot his grandson.

Bor stabbed his grandson straight with a separate arrow after reportedly failing to hit Chepkwony with the arrow on his first attempt.
Chepkwony died not long after. Chepalungu Sub-County police chief Phanton Analo confirmed the occurrence, telling Citizen Digital that police had confiscated the alleged murder weapon and that the deceased's remains had been taken to Kapkatet Mortuary.
