Two police officers were arrested after a murder suspect escaped their custody on Tuesday in Molo , Nakuru County under unclear circumstances while being escorted to court.
The suspect, Benson Muchiri, accused of murder in 2019, escaped from the Nakuru Level 6 Hospital where he was receiving treatment under police watch.
He was released on a Kes .2 million bond but was rearrested late last year after he began skipping court hearings.
He was found missing from the hospital where his family had taken him and left him with doctors and the police.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives in Molo are searching for Muchiri.
