The family of Charles Waga Otieno is currently in a state of shock and grief, desperately seeking answers regarding the perplexing death of their family member. Charles's lifeless body was found on the ground floor of Corner Heights Apartment on Naivasha Road, Dagoretti South, adding to the mystery surrounding his demise.

The autopsy results have further intensified the enigma, disclosing multiple fractures to Waga's head and internal bleeding. This has left both family and friends bewildered, as they grapple with the uncertainty surrounding the circumstances that led to his tragic end.

On the somber Wednesday of January 31, a gathering of family and friends gathered at Coptic Hospital's morgue. Here, a private pathologist conducted the autopsy on Waga's body.

Friends of Waga shared the unsettling account of discovering his lifeless body, emphasizing the presence of bloodstains and the peculiar absence of his trousers.

In an unusual turn of events, Waga's trousers, shoes, bracelet, marvin (beanie/knit cap), and belt were discovered later in the corridor that leads to the apartment where he had delivered a carpet.

Jaffer Ochieng, a friend of the late Waga, expressed bewilderment over the situation, stating, “We also found an earring [Waga doesn’t have pierced ears], and what shocked us is that Waga had a boxer only. We want justice for Waga because he was an innocent boy.”

Erick Babu, Waga’s brother, expressed the family’s shock over the sudden death of their beloved relative, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation. “We are shocked, and we demand that an investigation is carried out to reveal what killed Charles,” said Babu.

The family is urging investigators to thoroughly examine the apartment's caretaker, neighbors, and the security guard on duty during the incident. Their call for justice reflects a strong desire to comprehend the circumstances surrounding Waga's tragic death.

Beyond being a victim of an apparent tragedy, Waga was an aspiring artist renowned for his determination in the music industry. Colleagues revealed that he was on the verge of releasing a song featuring a prominent artist in the country.

Waga, employed as an attendant at Identity Cleaners car wash on Naivasha Road, commenced his final day just like any other. His assignment was to deliver a carpet to a Nigerian client residing in room 56 on the seventh floor of Corner Heights Apartment. The family emphasized that Waga was expecting a payment of Ksh. 800 for cleaning two carpets for the client.

Efforts to gather information from the apartment's caretaker were hindered by security guards who, insisting on a police letter for entry, denied media access. They asserted that the caretaker was not present at the time.

As the investigation progresses, the family grieves the premature departure of Charles Waga Otieno, a young man with bright aspirations in the music industry.
