A 45-year-old father in Kwale County will spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of defiling his 13-year-old daughter.
The culprit is reported to have performed the heinous conduct on the youngster for over four years in Nyacha village, Kwale County.
"The accused committed the offenses on various dates between January 2019 and March 26, 2023, at Nyacha village, Taru location within Kwale County," the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) stated in a statement.

The Accused was charged with an indecent act under Sections 11(A) and 20(1) of the Sexual Offences Act No. 3 of 2006.
The defiled kid was one of five witnesses called during the trial, and the court ruled that the prosecution, through Counsel Annette Wanjohi, had proven the case 'beyond reasonable doubt.'
It was also found that the accused was convicted of sodomizing his wife in 2010 and sentenced to five years in prison.
"During the trial, it emerged that the accused had been convicted and jailed for a five-year jail term between 2010 and 2015 for sodomising his wife," according to the statement.
The defendant claimed that his wife had framed him for the heinous crime, which Mariakani Senior Resident Magistrate Olivia Koranje dismissed as 'baseless.'
The culprit received a life sentence because he refused to change his bad behavior.
"Magistrate Koranje held that the accused's behaviour did not change despite his previous conviction and sentence, hence warranting the court to grant him the length of his sentence," the ODPP said in a statement.
