A Malindi court has charged two young men with trafficking 50 kilograms of cannabis sativa (bhang) worth Kes 1.5 million.
Appearing before Malindi Chief Magistrate James Mwaniki, Bavon Omondi Musa and Omar Kazungu Kahindi, denied the charge against them.
The two are alleged to have committed the offense with others not before the court last Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Masumbuko area of Kilifi South Sub County, Kilifi County.
They were arrested on the material day and brought to court on Monday, February 12, 2024.
Mr. Mwaniki released them on a bond of Kes 500,000 each with sureties of similar amounts, or a cash bail of Kes 250,000 each, but by the time of writing the story, they were yet to raise the amounts.
