However, Kang’ethe objected to the application through his lawyers, saying that no charge has been pressed against him, and the proceedings before court are that of extradition.
"If anything happened then it’s Up to the state to put its house in order. If he can't be detained at Muthaiga police station then there are other many stations in the country," Kang’ethe's lawyer submitted.
On January 29, Kang'ethe was first taken into custody in the Parklands neighborhood under a US directive.
