A Tanzanian national has been charged with meddling with the property of former Pepsi Director William Alfred Mulwa Mutilangi who died in New York in October 2023.
It is alleged that Bakari Kisalu Malanda, along with other individuals who are not in court, tampered with a house in the Green Park estate by occupying it unlawfully and without permission at an undisclosed date in Nairobi while not acting as the administrator of the deceased's property.
Before magistrate Bernard Ochoi, Bakari entered a not guilty plea. He was then freed on a Ksh 100,000 cash bond.
Bakari asserts that he is Mulwa's rightful heir to the properties, which are valued at Ksh. 500 million. a contention refuted by the Mulwas siblings.
