Authorities in Isebania, Kuria West, are currently conducting an inquiry to unravel the circumstances surrounding the demise of a businessman, who was fatally assaulted by a former employee. The incident occurred on Thursday night while the victim was in the process of closing his shop.
As per the local Police Commander, the perpetrator, wielding a makeshift weapon, assaulted the man by stabbing him. Initial investigations indicate that the assailant gained entry to the shop through the rear door. The police official mentioned that no items were reported stolen from the shop, and the suspect remains on the run.
According to a resident, a dispute between the businessman and the assailant at the shop escalated into a confrontation. Tensions heightened, leading the suspect to produce a knife and fatally stab the businessman. Prompt action from residents and family members resulted in the victim being swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
The motive behind this unfortunate incident remains undisclosed. Detectives have initiated an investigation to uncover any potential motives and ensure that justice is served.
