Police officers have launched a man hunt for middle aged man after he savagely murdered his two children, a relative's child, and a housekeeper.
The suspect, 45-year-old Robert Kilel, reportedly armed himself with a machete before embarking on a murdering rampage.
Bomet Central sub-county Deputy Police Commander Ali Bashir confirmed the incident, saying the casualties included the man's 2-year-old daughter, 16-year-old son, 8-year-old niece, and 16-year-old house help.

"The man went to his residence while his wife was at Silibwet town. He was armed with a Maasai machete and immediately pounced on his daughter slashing her under the cheek," he said.
"He proceeded to kill his niece in a similar fashion before inflicting multiple cuts on the househelp. The 16-year-old boy attempted to flee but Kilel caught up with him." he added.
A manhunt is underway for the offender.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Tenwek hospital mortuary for preservation.
