The main suspect in the death of a 19-year-old in Thome Estate is to be held in police custody for 14 days as investigations continue.
The prosecution requested additional time from the Makadara Law Courts, where Lawrence Gitonga was arraigned on Thursday, to conclude the murder investigation.
According to detectives investigating the case, Gitonga was arrested on March 2 when a caretaker in Kasarani's Kivulini district reported finding the body of a female adult near the White House residence.

Officers who arrived on the scene suspected the woman was thrown from the tenth story of the flat where she had reserved a room with the suspect.
When they entered the flat, they discovered the suspect with multiple stab wounds. They claimed that the house was in terrible disorder, with blood smeared throughout.
The suspect was transported to Uhai Neema Hospital for basic aid before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for more care.
He was discharged from the hospital on March 6 in stable condition and sent to the Kasarani police station, where he is being detained.
CCTV footage caught the two's final moments checking into the flat at around 3 a.m. Saturday after a night of partying, before the girl was found dead in a t-shirt.
Lawrence Gitonga is seen leaving the lift on the 10th floor, clutching the 19-year-old girl's hand.
