Police officers in Siaya have arrested a 32-year-old man after he was caught cultivating bhang.
Patrick Owino Ayieng was detained after reportedly cultivating bhang in Nyangera village, Nyadorera 'A' sub-location.
According to Siaya County Police Commander Mr. Cleti Kimaiyo, the culprit was apprehended during an operation conducted by local National Government Administration personnel.
Kimaiyo added that they were successful in arresting the suspect, who is presently in police custody awaiting arraignment on allegations of cultivating an illegal plant.

The County Police chief verified the arrest and indicated the crackdown would continue until the illicit plant was entirely eradicated from the region.
