A suspected armed robber was shot dead in Mwihoko, Kiambu County, with two accomplices escaping without injuries.
According to police reports, they acted on intelligence and apprehended three individuals plotting an armed robbery on Tuesday.
The suspects ignored a stop order, leading police on a high-speed chase from Eastlands to the Mwikoko region, where the getaway car became trapped in mud.
In the gunfight, one suspect was killed, but two of his accomplices fled and remain at large.
