Police in Kericho arrested a middle-aged man at Duka Moja near Brooke Trading Center who was linked to a mobile phone theft syndicate in the devolved unit.
According to detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspect was arrested following a tip-off from members of the public.
Further, the detectives revealed that at least 130 mobile phones were recovered during the swoop.
"Other electronic items believed to have been stolen from various parts of the county were also recovered from the suspect.”
The phones will be displayed at Kericho police station this week for identification by members of the public.
