A middle-aged woman has been found guilty of fatally stabbing her husband three years ago at their home in Eldoret.
Eldoret High Court Judge Reuben Nyakundi stated that the prosecution had shown via circumstantial evidence that 37- 37-year-old Winnie Maina stabbed her husband to death on August 22, 2022, at their home in Elgon View estate.
Justice Nyakundi dismissed her claim that the deceased forced her into executing the crime with a kitchen knife, stating that the evidence given in court showed that she willfully ended the victim's life.

The judge went on to say that by stabbing the victim in the heart with a knife during the altercation, the defendant intended to end her estranged husband's life.
According to the Judge, the deceased's chances of life were nearly zero after the inmate stabbed him in the heart with a knife on the fateful day during a drinking session at a bar.
The prosecution, through State Counsel Mark Mugun, had earlier asked the court to find the housewife guilty of murder.
She is suspected of injuring her 33-year-old husband, Wycliffe Miriti, who subsequently died from stab wounds at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret while being treated after a night out.
She denied murdering Miriti, a Senior Logistics Officer for an international beverage firm situated in Eldoret.
According to the police report, the convict rushed her husband, who was in critical condition, to the hospital in the family car. He succumbed to three knife stabs upon arrival at MTRH in Eldoret.
