Police in Rongo are investigating the death of a 42-year-old businesswoman who was murdered in her house at Chamgiwadu trading center in Migori County.
Confirming the incident, South West location Chief Maurice Ayieko said the body of Elizabeth Anyango was found lying in a pool of blood inside the bed by the relatives who had gone to check on her.
Further, he revealed that the body of the deceased had stabbed wounds around the neck, an indication that she was murdered.
Ayieko said the people involved in the murder are yet to be identified and investigations are underway.
In addition, Ayieko has urged calmness among the residents of Chamgiwadu as the police get to the bottom of the murder incident.

The residents of Chamgiwadu want the government to expeditiously investigate the matter and action taken against the people involved in the killing of the businesswoman.
