A businesswoman charged with obtaining Kes 25 million shillings from a foreigner has been released on a Kes 1 million cash bail.
Senior Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi ordered Faith Mwikali Ndiwa to provide the details of three contact persons to secure her release.
Further, the court ordered that the two contact persons should be employed by the public service.
The accused was given an alternative bond of Kes 5 million plus one surety and ordered to deposit her passport in Court.
According to the prosecution, the accused obtained money from investor Jude Olabayo Veracruz by pretending that he had secured a contract to supply Long-Lasting Insecticidal nets to KEMSA.

The accused is said to have committed the offense on 7 March 2022. Her criminal case will be mentioned at a pre-trial conference on 11 June 2024.
