Police officers in Migori County have arrested a middle-aged man for impersonating board members to defraud kenyans seeking employment opportunities.

According to Andrew Okatch, Chief Executive Officer of the County Public Service Board, the suspect was apprehended at Masara Trading Centre in Suna West Sub County by police officers following him.

He stated that the subject is still in police custody for arraignment.

Okatch said one of the persons duped by the suspect made a statement, which he also recorded on behalf of the board.

The county public service board's chief executive officer has urged Migori County citizens to be aware of scam artists offering them false employment.
