Police in Kilindini, Mombasa County, have arrested two people who were found in possession of 26 kilograms of bhang.
Anti-narcotics officers detained Collins Omondi and Halima Masudi Hassan on Friday.
The detectives targeted Omondi at the Likoni Matatu Station, where he purportedly received a suspicious item from Tanga, Tanzania. He placed the luggage in his Subaru Treza (Reg. No. KDE 948E).

"The officers, shadowing Omondi's every move, trailed him to Fazuka Apartment Complex in Utange Solian, where they swiftly arrested him," the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said in a statement on X.
"A search of his vehicle uncovered a cleverly concealed manilla sack, camouflaged with a mound of oranges. Upon closer examination, the sack was found to harbor 14kg of bhang."
Both suspects are currently being held at Port Police Station.
