A woman is on the run after allegedly killing her two children, a six-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl, and dumping them in a bush in Kericho.
The children's remains were discovered dumped in Kabartegan village, Bureti Constituency.
The chief, Leonard Kurgat, confirmed the fatalities, saying residents discovered the remains. Deniss Ngeno, the children's uncle, stated that the remains had rotted and were mangled by dogs.
Annita Byegon, a chemo ward delegate, criticized the incident and called for a prompt inquiry. She advised fatigued families to seek help rather than murdering and leaving their children.

"Even if you are going through a lot, it is important to ask for help and see how the community can help. Nyumba Kumi groups are also important to ensure we are able to monitor our neighbours and see how they are doing," Byegon said.
