Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested three suspects concerning the theft of electronic items, $24,500 (equivalent to Ksh 3.16 million), and other valuables.
The suspects, identified as Lenah Khamatioli (28), Ian Kavaya (28), and Peninah Mutola (32), were apprehended at their hideout in Kawangware following a weeks-long manhunt.
The stolen items were taken from the home of a South Sudanese national in Westlands on September 24. The victim reported the incident to DCI Kilimani after discovering her housemaid missing, along with cash, an iPhone 15, a Samsung Z Flip, and several pieces of jewelry.

The DCI also recovered various electronics and valuables from the suspects, including a Boxer motorcycle, a 55-inch Vitron TV, a Hanmac microwave, an HP laptop, an NNix cooker oven, a 6kg Pro gas cylinder, a five-seater sofa, a mattress, two watches, and three brand-new Samsung A50 phones.
In addition, they were found in possession of an agreement to purchase land worth Ksh 423,000 in Kapkangani, Nandi County.
The suspects remain in police custody and will be arraigned in court soon.
