Police officers are investigating the fatal stabbing of a local football official, Moi Ottomax, which occurred on Saturday night in Ilerege village, Bukira Central Ward.
Area Assistant Chief Chacha Sagamo confirmed the incident, identifying Ottomax as a farmer who also served as an official in local football.
Sagamo reported that the young man sustained a deep chest wound, resulting in heavy bleeding. Tragically, Ottomax passed away while being rushed to the hospital.

Witnesses indicated that a man from the area, believed to be the main suspect, had been seen chasing Ottomax through Ikerege Shopping Centre, armed with a knife. The suspect allegedly cornered Ottomax and inflicted the fatal chest wound.
Authorities are actively searching for the suspect, who is said to be in hiding. Meanwhile, Ottomax's body has been placed at the Kehancha Sub-County Hospital morgue as investigations continue.
