A suspect linked to the brutal murders of two women and a young girl in Eastleigh will remain in custody for nine more days as police conduct further investigations.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) presented the individual in Makadara Law Court on Monday, requesting extended detention to facilitate the capture of the main suspect, Hashim Dagane Muhumed.
Journalists were prohibited from photographing the suspect since witnesses had not identified him.

Hashim Muhumed, aged 24, is believed to have driven the Nissan Note used in the abduction of the victims on October 21. CCTV footage reportedly shows the vehicle picking up the victims from their Eastleigh home before their bodies were later discovered in separate locations.
The abandoned vehicle was found by the ENA Coach stage near Wakulima Market and towed to DCI Headquarters for forensic analysis.
DCI has appealed to the public for any information that could help locate Muhumed while holding another suspect in custody.
Preliminary reports indicate that Muhumed refueled the vehicle at a local station after disposing of a body in Machakos County.
An alleged accomplice, who shared a rented residence with Muhumed in Eastleigh and was reportedly in contact with him on the night of the murders, has also been questioned.
