*Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit's Eldest Son Faces Second Rape Allegation*
Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is under investigation for a second rape allegation, police confirmed on Wednesday. This development comes two days after his arrest for an initial accusation of sexual assault.
Borg Høiby, 27, born from a relationship prior to Mette-Marit's marriage to Crown Prince Haakon, was detained on Monday evening on suspicion of rape. Police have since uncovered a second accusation, prompting a request to remand him in custody.

"The case involves sexual intercourse without consent with a woman unable to resist," stated police lawyer Andreas Kruszewski during a detention hearing. Investigators have conducted a search of Borg Høiby’s home and seized items as part of their probe.
The rape charges follow a previous incident in August, where Borg Høiby was accused of bodily harm during an altercation at the Oslo apartment of a woman he was reportedly in a relationship with. Reports indicate a knife was found lodged in one of the woman’s bedroom walls at the time.
In September, he was arrested for violating a restraining order connected to the same woman. Police revealed that when Borg Høiby was detained on Monday, he was in a car with the alleged victim of the August incident.
Marius Borg Høiby, raised by the royal couple alongside his step-siblings Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 20, and Prince Sverre Magnus, 18, does not hold an official public role within the Norwegian royal family.
