Police in Embu County have launched an investigation into the mysterious death of an Administration Police (AP) officer whose body was found along the Manyatta-Kianjokoma road.
Embu North OCPD Benjamin Kiprono identified the deceased as 35-year-old Collins Wafula, an officer stationed at the Embu North Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) headquarters.
Kiprono revealed that Wafula was last seen leaving an end-of-year party held at the DCC offices. He reportedly headed towards Kianjokoma, where he joined a group for drinks at Jambo Lodge. However, his whereabouts after that remain unknown.

The officer’s body was discovered early the next morning in the Kavutiri area by a passerby, who immediately notified the authorities.
“It is unclear whether this was a hit-and-run accident or if the officer was murdered elsewhere and his body dumped on the road,” said Kiprono.
The OCPD called on residents with any information that could help shed light on the circumstances of Wafula's death to come forward and assist with the investigation.
