The body of a 26-year-old man who went missing on New Year’s Eve in Nairobi has been discovered in Kasarani.
Ian Singoe, who had traveled from Bomet to Nairobi on December 29, 2024, to complete job-related paperwork, was last seen on the night of December 31. He reportedly spent the evening with friends at an entertainment joint in Kasarani but failed to return to his temporary residence.
According to his mother, Pauline Korir, relatives noted that Singoe’s phone remained active until around 1 a.m. on January 1, 2025, before it went off. His body was later found in the Kasarani Mwiki area, and investigations into his death are underway.

In a separate incident in Kiambu County, residents of Kawaida, near Banana, discovered the body of a 27-year-old man who had been missing since Friday afternoon under unclear circumstances.
The deceased, identified as John Muchiri Muthoni, was last seen on January 3, 2025, at around 3 p.m. His girlfriend reported receiving an early Saturday morning call directing her to the location of his body. She found him stripped naked, with visible injury marks.
Muchiri’s body has been moved to Kihara Sub-County Hospital Mortuary, with a postmortem examination scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025.
