A woman in Piai village in Kirinyaga was found murdered, her eyes were gouged out, and acid poured all over his body.
According to witnesses at the scene, the man's hand was cuffed and burned by what looked like acid. The woman's family says that their kin has been missing for a while and that they had reported her missing and have been searching to bring her home safely.
Their hopes of finding her alive were crushed on Monday morning when they learned she was killed and her body dumped outside the cemetery at Embu Countryside. Those at the scene believe the woman was killed somewhere else and her body dumped at the location.
"We want to know the motive behind the heinous act," a resident, Pastor Boniface Mwangi, said.
