Following his alleged participation in the death of 23-year-old interior designer Jeff Mwathi, who was discovered dead outside the musician's 10th-floor apartment, a land-selling corporation has cancelled its contract with DJ Fatxo.

The well-known Mugithi musician is now the subject of investigations after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) visited him at his house on Friday.

On social media, Lesedi Group Ltd stated that they take the charges against DJ Fatxo seriously.

"We think we must uphold our beliefs and principles and won't stand for behaviour that violates them. We recognize that hearing this news has been upsetting for many people, particularly the parents of the dead and the larger community affected by this tragedy, the company said in a statement.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki noted the mysterious death and directed the DCI to conduct in-depth inquiries into the unfortunate situation on Friday.

Kindiki stated, "I have spoken to the DCI Amin this morning on the case of the late Jeff Mwathi and have told him to dispatch a homicide team from the DCI headquarters to take the appropriate steps.

Meanwhile, DJ Fatxo stated his hope for the matter to be solved on Friday.

"We all desire to learn the truth about what took place, and we have faith that justice will be served. I love you my supporters we shall win this," he stated.
