STHERA midwife applying for a job at his medical facility was allegedly raped by an 18-year-old guy, according to police in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

On Monday, Fred Enanga, a spokesman for the Ugandan police, told journalists that the man was offering work chances while pretending to be a doctor.

Enanga claimed the suspect set up a phoney Facebook account using "Dr. Ronnie" to deceive people. He claimed to own a place named Medical Scrub Uganda that doesn't exist.

After offering medical jobs through online interviews, the suspect would rape women who showed up to sign employment contracts for the false jobs, according to a police spokesperson.

The Daily Monitor newspaper quoted Enanga as saying, "He would plan a meeting to discuss the terms and conditions after conducting a quick online interview with them."

The alleged victim would then be "transported to an isolated and busy region where he would drag them to the bush and then abuse them," according to reports. These locations are roughly 55 and 25 kilometres from the capital, respectively.

On March 21, the man allegedly interviewed a 21-year-old Kampala midwife before inviting her to Mukono, where he raped her when she got there.

"This suspect was apprehended after being located by our crime intelligence and flying squad teams, and it was determined that he did not have a set place of business. At Kayunga and Mukono, he was staying in inexpensive lodges, according to Enanga.
