Police in Bungoma County have detained three suspects concerning the April 7 murder of a pastor in Kaptama, Mt Elgon.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations named the three on Tuesday Job Mosobin, Geoffrey Kimutai alias Kus Kus, and Andrew Ngeiwa alias Michuki.
Their arrest happened due to police working with members of the public in their search.
The trio is said to have confronted Pastor David Ngeiwa as he shut his shop at around 9 p.m. on that fateful night, armed with an AK-47 assault weapon.

They allegedly shot the priest in the stomach before fleeing with an undisclosed sum of money, leaving his body splayed on the ground.
The pastor died due to his injuries while being treated at Sikotia Medical Center.
According to police, "an operation to locate the weapon used in the assault is currently underway." "A motorcycle used by the thugs as a means of escape has since been impounded."
