A 19-year-old male has been apprehended on suspicion of stealing women's underwear in Tegeyat village, Mosop sub-county, Nandi County.
This comes after a string of inexplicable disappearances of female inner garments in the neighbourhood.
For several weeks, ladies have been reporting the loss of their innerwear from the village's hanging wires at night, prompting them to search one house to the next.
On Monday, the man was discovered in his home wearing feminine underpants.

According to Kiptanui Ronoh, a Tegeyat village elder, the suspect was apprehended with 20 women's underwear and various clothing packed in sacks.
Joel Kimurgor, the suspect, confessed to stealing underwear from various residences in the village to please his fiancée, who had asked him to buy new underwear for her to demonstrate love.
Sarah Kibet, a resident of Tegeyat village, criticized the occurrence, saying that stealing undergarments was an obscenity in the Kalenjin society and was regularly committed by witch doctors and sorcerers.
