A 35-year-old man has been arrested in the murder of his 32-year-old wife in what is believed to be a domestic dispute.
Kedowa Chief John Ngetich verified the occurrence, claiming that the individual, a pastor in one of the churches, killed his wife over undisclosed concerns.
Ngetich claims the man hit his wife with a wooden rod before slashing her on the neck, killing her instantaneously.
He disclosed that after murdering his wife, the pastor put her body on their matrimonial bed and slept in the living room.
According to the administrator, the pastor awoke his eldest son early in the morning and told him to bring the elder to their compound.

The son notified the village elder that his father wanted him to visit their home.
Upon arrival, the pastor told the village elder that he had a fight with his wife the night before and had hit her, but he wasn't sure whether she was still alive and requested him to check on her in the bedroom.
The village elder checked on the bloodied woman, only to discover she had died.
The village elder contacted the chief, who arrived on the scene a few moments later, confirming the incident.
The chief later reported the incident to the Londiani police station. Officers raced to the area, removed the deceased's body, and transported it to the Londiani sub-county hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
The preacher was also detained and taken to the londiani police station, where he was being held pending his court appearance.
Ngetich counselled the spouses to seek peaceful solutions to their problems rather than committing suicide.
In other news, a Grade Four student drowned while attempting to swim in a water pan in Rapedhi village in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County. The 14-year-old youngster was with his brother when they decided to swim in the pan.
