The death of a 29-year-old man has prompted police in Kuria West, Migori County, to initiate an inquiry.
Cleti Kimaiyo, the area police chief, said the body was discovered in a rented residence in Mabera, Bugumbe West.
"Johnes Ochengo has been identified as the deceased." "He had bruises on his hands and legs," stated Kimaiyo.

The deceased, whose death was reported by his widow Faith Kerubo, is suspected of being killed, according to police.
"She had just returned home from a burial in Nyamache, Kisii County, only to find the door locked," according to authorities.
As she grew suspicious, she told her son to enter the house through the window.
The man's body was discovered in their bedroom. The family summoned police, who transported the deceased to the Akidiva Mindira Hospital mortuary.
