On June 12, Michael Macharia Njiiri, popularly known as DJ Brownskin, faced charges of aiding his wife, Sharon Njeri, in committing suicide in July 2022.
Following his arrest on June 1 at a club located in the Kasarani area, DJ Brownskin was brought before the Milimani Court in Nairobi on Monday morning.
In April 2023, a video capturing DJ Brownskin recording his wife, Sharon Njeri, ingesting a liquid substance suspected to be poison and subsequently assaulting her, surfaced online and quickly became viral.

As of now, DJ Brownskin is in custody at the Kasarani Police Station, where he is being held in relation to the incident.
