After a 37-year-old son allegedly killed his father with a knife while demanding the remainder of the money he had gotten from the most recent Inua Jamii financial transfers, gloomy attitudes overtook the Kelengei district in Bomet County.
Joseph arap Oricho, 74, and Leonard Kipngetich had a falling out before the latter confined him in his home and killed him with a panga.
The older man died after bleeding heavily and suffering deep head, neck, and leg wounds.
According to senior assistant chief Paul Bett of the Makimeny site, members of the public who heard Oricho's shrill screams flocked to the area and apprehended the culprit. The deceased made a distress call and begged his son to save him.
