A 28-year-old man accused of killing his two sons by slitting their throats in Kiharu Murang’a has been arrested in the Maragua constituency.
Evans Kang'ethe reportedly killed his two children aged 3 and 7 with a sharp object on Sunday night after a confrontation with his wife before escaping.
On Tuesday, the area chief nabbed him at Ndaragwa Bridge with the help of the general public.
The mob clamouring for Kang'ethe's blood was difficult for police to contain. Additionally, he was defying arrest.
Officers called to the location found that the suspect's wife had left her marital residence a week before the event because of an unclear marital argument, according to a police report acquired by Citizen Digital on Sunday.
