An eyewitness at the scene said that the administrator escaped with minor bruises and was treated at a nearby medical institution before being dismissed.

A panga-welding gang ambushed a Nyumba kumi member in a neighbouring hamlet in the Taboino area and sliced him in the shoulder, hand, and neck. They allegedly attacked the man for participating in an operation at Cheptendeniet hamlet where the administrators burned 300 litres of Changaa.
