Kizungu, a well-known bhang distributor based in Nairobi County, went into hiding after her counterpart, Teresia Wanjiru, was arrested on Tuesday, August 15.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Wanjiru was apprehended along with three juveniles after the Anti-Narcotics Unit and the Trans National Organised Crime Unit raided her home in the Ngara slum in Karuia.

A police source said that Wanjiru works for Mathe, who is claimed to be the primary bhang distributor, with accomplices from Isebania, Busia, and Moyale, where the items are sourced.

Mathe has considerable power, allowing her to conduct business without hindrance from the authorities, and she prefers to deliver goods in the slums since she has individuals who function as "watchmen and informants" in the event of a raid.

A source told The Standard that Nancy is a powerful individual in that she can influence the transfer of police officers within Parklands, Central, Ngara, and Kamukunji Police Stations and transfer-friendly and cooperative officers to desired stations. Adding that, She works in the Nairobi slums of Karuia and Ngara.

The source said that The location provides her with a conducive operation base because she provides an incentive to unemployed kids who provide protection and function as informants in the event of a police presence.
